Comprehensive Social-Emotional Learning Resources
Perspective Taking Social Skills Game | Social Skills Treasury Set 1
Help elementary students practice perspective taking, social awareness, empathy, and understanding different points of view with this engaging Perspective Taking Social Skills Game | Social Skills Treasury Set 1!
This digital and printable social emotional learning (SEL) resource combines an interactive board game with 100 situation and nonverbal communication cards to help children explore how people can experience the same situation differently.
Students practice considering what another person might know, think, feel, or believe through relatable scenarios and guided discussions. They also explore facial expressions and body language as possible clues to emotions, while learning that we cannot always know how someone feels just by looking at them.

📌 Important Notes:
Perspective taking is not about guessing someone's thoughts or feelings correctly. The goal is to help students recognize that people can have different experiences, consider multiple possibilities, and communicate with curiosity.
Facial expressions, body language, eye contact, and other nonverbal communication cues can vary across individuals, cultures, and situations. Children should not be expected to interpret every cue in the same way.
Understanding another person's perspective does not mean agreeing with them, ignoring personal boundaries, or putting someone else's needs ahead of their own.
Students may participate through speaking, writing, pointing, selecting responses, or other preferred communication methods.
This resource is Set 1 of the Social Skills Treasury Perspective Taking series and can be used independently or alongside Sets 2 and 3.
